Gibbs/Hibbler


Dustin Hibbler and Erin Gibbs were united in marriage on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Imlay City Christian Reformed Church, officiated by Pastor Ken Vanderhorst.

Dustin is the son of Allen and Karen Hibbler, and Erin is the daughter of Sam and Michelle Gibbs.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Alivia Hibbler, with bridesmaids Claire Gibbs, Becca Hibbler, Chelsea Hibbler, Katie Zaborowicz and Saranda Conn.

Attending the groom as best man was Matthew Zaborowicz with groomsmen Andy Marshall, Daniel Louis, Zack Jolicoeur, Tristan DiCesare, and Jason Pittenger.

The bride and groom graduated from Calvin College in May of 2017 and now reside in Lansing, Illinois.

Lawrence, Walsh tie the knot


Patrick Lawrence of Almont and Theresa Walsh of Jackson were united in marriage on November 12, 2016 at St. Thomas the Apostle in Grand Rapids.

The bride is the daughter of Dolores and Bill Walsh of Jackson, and the groom is the son of Ron and Laurie Lawrence of Almont.

Attending the bride was matron of honor Rose Wahl.

Taylor Lawrence of Almont was best man.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Holland Fish and Game Club in Holland. The couple will reside in Grand Rapids after honeymooning in Ireland.

Salowitz, Soule wedding


Ms. Katelyn Salowitz and Mr. Jacob Soule were united in marriage on Saturday, May 28, under the trees in Katelynís grandparents woods.

Katelyn is the daughter of Doug and Jackie Salowitz of Palms. Jacob is the son of Ron and Tammy Soule of Lapeer.

The brideís grandparents are the late Edward and Esther Pohl and Gertrude Salowitz and the late Titus Salowitz, all of Palms.

The groomís grandparents are William and Patricia Cutcher of Capac and Diana Soule and the late Robert Soule of Imlay City.

Bridesmaids were sister-in-law of the groom, Heidi Soule, and sister-in-law of the bride, Sarah Salowitz, and friends, Dana Stolicker, Jessie Guza Maurer, Emily Fennell and Chelsea Jedele. Flowergirls were Katelynís goddaughter, Reagan Harris, and Chloe Soule and Cecilia Soule, nieces of the groom.

Best man was Dan Soule, brother of the groom. Doug and Brian Salowitz, brothers of the bride, Daniel Hooper, Rob Winne, and Joel Schlosser, friends of the groom, were groomsmen. The ring bearer was Carter Soule, nephew of the groom.

Katelyn wore a Kenneth Winston design fit and flare silhouette gown covered in soft cotton lace from the bateau neckline to hem and paired with intricate bead work. The back consisted of a sheer illusion detail with cotton lace, sprinkled with jewels and satin covered buttons.

The bouquets, boutonnieres, and table decorations at the reception were all created by the bride and her mother.

Katelyn was given in marriage by her father and mother.

Katelynís uncle, David Salowitz, performed the wedding ceremony. Readings were given by Katelynís godmother, Julie Dostal and Jacobís godmother, Dolores Totzke. A solo was sung by Jacobís great-uncle, Richard Pype. Other music for the wedding was provided by Kurt Shubel, DJ, of Deckerville.

A reception was held following the wedding at Ubly Heights Golf and Country Club attended by family, neighbors and friends.

The couple took a brief honeymoon to Niagara Falls and will take an extended trip this winter to the tropics. The couple now resides in Imlay City.

Cortright - Sinda unite


Together with their families and friends, Heather Marie Cortright and Captain Matthew Stephen Sinda were wed in a military ceremony on November 7th, 2015 in the Smoky Mountains of Laurel Ridge Country Club, Waynesville, NC. Chaplain (Captain) Chris Weinrich officiated. A reception immediately followed at the country club.

Heather is the daughter of Devon and Ellen Cortright of Simpsonville, SC. She is a 2011 Visual Communications graduate from the University of South Carolina. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in SC in 2007. Her grandparents are Delbert and Dorothy Cortright and the late Edward and Debbye Andersen.

Matt is the son of Gene and Denise Sinda of Allenton, MI. He is a 2008 Computer Science graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He graduated from Capac High School in 2004. His grandparents are the late Stephen and Harriet Sinda and the late Norbert and Jeanie Smith.

Maid of honor was the sister of the bride, Ashley Cortright. Bridesmaids were Captain Beka Vaughan and Noelle Wiehe.

Best Man was the brother of the groom, Captain (Ret.) Shane Sinda. Groomsmen were Captain Scott Tyson and Petty Officer Second Class Kasey Cornwell.

Heather and Matt are living temporarily in Michigan where Matt is on assignment pursuing his master's degree. A honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean is planned for the summer.

Crary and Edelson unite


Anna L. Crary, daughter of Chris and Gayle Crary of Imlay City, united in marriage to Michael B. Edelson, son of Herman and Diane Edelson, of Arizona and Illinois, on June 13, 2015 at Central Park Performance Pavilion in Grayslake, Illinois. The brideís brother, Scott K. Crary, officiated the ceremony.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Kimberly Giesige, of Leipsic, Ohio. Serving as best man was the groomís best friend, Brad Pruitt, of Grayslake, Illinois.

The couple celebrated with family and friends during their reception at The Vine Wine and Martini Bar in Grayslake, Illinois. The couple resides in Grayslake.

Couple unites in marriage


Ryan Weingartz, son of Jeff and Fran Weingartz of Imlay City, was united in marriage to Brittany Hoekstra, daughter of Krystn and Mike Sickles and Neil and Patti Hoekstra of Clinton Township, on October 11, 2014 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic church in North Branch. After the ceremony, a reception was held at Sullivanís Black Forest in Frankenmuth. The couple resides in St. Clair Shores.

Joel Eddings and Rebecca Hummel were united in marriage at the Hummel Farm in Goodland Twp. on August 23, 2014.

The bride is the daughter of Earl and Cindy Hummel and the groom is the son of Joe Eddings and Anita McIver.

Becky is Seed Quality Supervisor for Monsanto in Boone, Iowa, and Joel is a Construction Foreman for K-Built Homes in the Des Moines metropolitan area. They reside in Huxley, Iowa.

Thompson/Keskimaki


Allison Thompson and Matthew Keskimaki, both of Lansing, were united in marriage on August 9, 2014 at the MSU Alumni Chapel in East Lansing. Fr. John McCracken officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Lee and Carol Thompson of Gaylord, and the groom is the son of Alan and Kathy Keskimaki of Capac.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Mary Kuras, and the bridesmaids were Melissa York, Sarah Skowronski, Jodi Abate and Celeste Szymanski. The flow- er girl was Grace Abate.

Mike Doroshewitz was best man, and groomsmen were Rob Tyson, Jason Koontz, Erick Pratt, and Kris Horn. The ringbearer was Zachary Abate.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the MSU Union and Ballroom in East Lansing. The couple will reside in Lansing after honeymooning in the Bahamas.

Hyde, Brill exchange vows


Ronald Brill, Jr. of Caro and Susan Hyde of Imlay City were united in marriage on September 28, 2013 at the American Legion in Lapeer. Brandon Blazo (cousin of bride) officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Charlie and Josie Hyde of Attica and groom is the son of Ron, Sr. and Sandy Brill of Caro.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Connie Seiter (cousin of bride) of Dryden. The flower girl was Mirabelle Hyde (niece of bride) of Hinsdale, Illinois.

Ron Brill Sr. (father of groom) of Caro was the best man. The ringbearers were Christopher and Andrew Cezik (nephews of bride) of Attica.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the American Legion in Lapeer. The couple now resides in Imlay City after honeymooning in Nebraska/South Dakota.

Klebba, McCarthy tie knot


Virgil and Catherine Klebba of Romeo, along with Mr. Kevin McCarthy of Howell and Ms. Martha McCarthy of Almont, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Lyndsay May Klebba to John (Jake) Daniel McCarthy, both of Almont.

The wedding and reception took place August 23, 2014 at Fore Lakes Golf Course in Kimball, Michigan. Both the bride and groom are Almont High School graduates (2008 and 2009 respectively). The bride is also a University of Michigan graduate with a B.A. degree, double majoring in Psychology & Communications. She works for Fairly Painless Advertising in Holland, MI. The groom is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He is employed with Gentex of Zeeland, MI. The couple reside in Holland Michigan.
