James “Jim - Jimmy Cheese” Siarkowski, age 60, of Almont, formerly of Dryden, MI, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Friday, May 11, 2018 at his son’s home in Almont. Jim fought a long and hard battle against cancer.

James William Siarkowski was born August 5, 1957 in Warren, MI. He was the son of the late Theodore and the late Genevieve Florence (Berlinger) Siarkowski. He grew up in the Utica/Shelby Twp., MI area. He lived in Washington Twp., MI for a period of time before moving his family to the Dryden and Metamora areas, MI where he lived 30-plus years. Two years ago Jim bought a home in Lake Placid, FL where he would spend his winters. He was employed as a supervisor for Posen Construction in Utica, MI for 30-plus years doing road construction and building bridges before he retired. He went on to work at his son’s company, SirCo Scape in Almont, MI, digging ponds, building waterfalls, landscaping, and land development. Jim was an extremely hard working person, always busy building or making something. He loved to work with his excavator and could take a piece of property and make it into a masterpiece. Jim could make a room, a piece of old furniture, or just about anything, beautiful. He loved his children and his grandsons. Jimmy had a fun sense of humor and could make you smile. He loved Florida and going to the beach. Jim will be missed dearly by all those that knew him.

He is survived by wife of 34 years and mother of his children, Pamela Morgan of Lake Orion, MI; one daughter, Genna Siarkowski of Lake Orion, MI; his two sons, Ryan Siarkowski of Almont, MI and Ross Siarkowski of Almont, MI; four brothers, Benny (Janice) Reiss of Almont, MI, Theodore Siarkowski, Ed (Lynn) Siarkowski of Lapeer, MI and Joseph (Linda) Siarkowski of Almont, MI; his beautiful grandsons, Kashis and Jexis Siarkowski; his nieces and nephews; and especially his beloved companion, Roscoe.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Genevieve Siarkowski.

Jimmy’s wish was to be cremated. A family memorial is being planned for a later date.
