Genevieve Mae “Jenny” Weese, 83, of Houghton Lake and formerly of Imlay City passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at The Brook of Houghton Lake.

Genevieve was born on May 14, 1927 in Detroit to the late Dell J. and Emma (Bachner) Todd. She was married on September 5, 1947 to Warren S. Weese, and he survives. Genevieve worked for several years as a secretary in Imlay City and the couple owned and operated the Cedar Lanes Bowling Alley. When the couple retired they summered in the Alpena area and wintered in Las Vegas.

Mrs. Weese is survived by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Warren S. Weese of Houghton Lake; one brother, Leon Todd of Texas; several nieces and nephews, Jack (Marge) Deppong of Houghton Lake, Carol Deppong of Imlay City, Sharon (Dave) Smith of Sturgis, Laura Weese of Seattle, Washington, Richard (Greta) Hougom of Onalaska, Wisconsin, Irvin Hougom of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Janet (Roger) Wolter of Salem, Wisconsin, and Diane (Steve) Hintz of Onalaska, Wisconsin, Jossett Gossett of Mt. Clemens, David Todd of Mt. Clemens, and Brian Todd of Freeland.

Memorial services for Mrs. Genevieve Mae Weese were held at The Brook of Houghton Lake at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday December 15, with Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Interment services will be held in June at Imlay Twp. Cemetery, Imlay City. Those wishing to make memorial donations in Genevieve’s memory are asked to consider the Westie Rescue Mission of Southeast Michigan, 1371 W. South Blvd., Troy, Michigan 48098.
