Agnes Warner, 97, of Lapeer, formerly of Imlay City, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility.

Agnes Vivian Dayton was born on September 25, 1913 in Sommerset, Kentucky. She was the daughter of John and Carrie Dayton.

She married Raymond Warner on December 16, 1944 in Imlay City. Agnes was a crossing guard operator for the Grand Trunk Western Railroad in Imlay City for 30 years. She was a member of Imlay City United Methodist Church for 71 years and a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars.

Agnes is survived by her son, Rodney (Gladys) Warner of Imlay City; daughter, Deanna Snoddy of Lapeer; grandchildren, Joshua Warner, John Warner, James Warner, Robin Snoddy, Tammy Snoddy, Betsy Snoddy, and Richard Snoddy and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Warner; son-in-law Robert Snoddy; granddaughter, Kelly Snoddy; her parents, John and Carrie; and a sister, Helen McCary.

A funeral service was held 1 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home - Imlay City.

There was an Order of the Eastern Star Service on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
