Katherine Sellheim, 85, of Lapeer, previously of Lexington, Madison Heights and retiring in Grayling passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center.

Katherine Tina Makedonsky was born on October 10, 1925 in Dawson, North Dakota. She was the daughter of James and Christine Makedonsky.

Katherine is a Imlay City High School graduate class of 1943.

She married Walbert Sellheim on June 3, 1944 in Capac. Walbert passed away February 28, 2002.

Katherine worked 30 years for Chrysler at the Marysville and Centerline plants in the auto parts packaging department.

She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Lexington and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lapeer.

Katherine is survived by brothers, James (Peggy) Makedonsky of Lapeer, Robert (Cindy) Makedonsky of Perry, and Donn (Annette) Makedonsky of Attica; sisters, Marion (Bill Wright) Hagle of Sterling Hts. and Evelyn Bowers of Davison; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Walbert Sellheim; brothers, Wayne Makedonsky and Samuel Makedonsky; brothers-in-law, Robert Bowers and Robert Hagle; parents, James and Christine Makedonsky.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 9, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City. Pastor Mark Gilson, Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Chuch in Lapeer will officiate. Burial will follow at Imlay Township Cemetery.

The family will be available for visiting December 8 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City.
