Genevieve (Sutkowski) Senyk was born in January of 1917 and died November 5, 2010.
Her parents, Adam & Mary Sutkowski, were Polish immigrants.
Genevieve spent her early years in Detroit, but her family moved to Armada when she was a teenager. There she met her husband John Senyk and they married on September 27, 1938.
They lived the majority of their life together on their family farm in Almont, where Genevieve also served for many years as head librarian at the Henry Stevens Memorial Library.
She is survived by daughter Aileen (Spencer BeMent) of Ann Arbor and sons Jack (Diana) of Cadillac, Michael (Suzanne) of Leonard and David (Mary Ann) of Grand Ledge. Genevieve has 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and infant daughter, Diane, as well as aforementioned parents, and siblings Bernice and Louis.
There will be a memorial service for Genevieve at St. Johnís Catholic Church in Allenton on Saturday, November 27, at 12:00 p.m.
