Adeline Rose Ellis

Died: Monday, June 21, 2010
Age: 86
Adeline Rose Ellis, or Busha as she was known to her grandchildren, always said the thing that she enjoyed most about her 62 years of marriage to Clyde was living on the farm. After Clyde and Adeline's marriage on August 9, 1947 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond, they moved in 1961 to the Allenton centennial farm that has been family-owned since 1872.

Besides the countless hours of playing and pie-baking Adeline spent at the farm with her two children and grandchildren, Adeline loved to travel. Her and Clyde’s travels to all fifty states started with their honeymoon to Niagara Falls. Whether at the farm or on the road there was often Polka music playing in the background as Adeline loved the tunes played by her brothers' bands. In her later years Adeline enjoyed regular activities and friendship as a member of the Allenton Seniors.

Adeline was born May 27, 1924 in Hamtramck, a daughter of Karoline (nee Soltysik, who had immigrated from Poland early in life) and John Pavlik. She passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at the farm at the age of 86.

Adeline is survived by her husband Clyde; son William (Mary) Ellis of Allenton; daughter Charlene Ellis; grandchildren, Tiffany (fiancé, David Woodruff), Amber, Chelsea (fiancé Tom Wakeham), Hilary (Justin) Gilmore, Tyler, Lindsey and Misty; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Carter, and Cole; brother Ted (Gladys) Pavlik of Marysville; sisters-in-law, Agnes Pavlik of Marysville and Marian Pavlik of Romeo; brother-in-law Earl (Delores) Ellis of Allenton; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Adeline was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Steve, John, Harry and Frank Pavlik; and infant siblings, Adam and Helen Pavlik.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 883 Capac Rd., Allenton with the Rev. Fr. Suresh Rajaian celebrant. Burial will follow in East Berlin Cemetery, Berlin Township. Visitation is Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tiffany-Young and Hauss Funeral Home, 7319 North Avenue (north of 33 Mile), Armada and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Memorial tributes may be made as you wish.
