James Dewane Wheatley, age 58, of Imlay City passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. He was born May 16, 1951 the son of Charles W. and Pearl V. (Lopp) Wheatley in Warren.
He served in the United States Army. He worked at Elite Mold & Engineering for many years. James enjoyed garage sales, collecting music and movies.
He is survived by his beloved mother Pearl Velma and stepfather Lewis Simms of Imlay City; beloved siblings Larry (Diane) of Romeo, Bonnie (James) Akers of Berville, Tammie (Joseph) Mandeville of Chesterfield, Donna (Ed) Chandler of Waters, Cheryl Horning of Fenton and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his best friend Gangster the dog.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles and his dog Dusty.
The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, May 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Roth-Muir Funeral Home in Romeo with Pastor Ron Meadows of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Burial was made at Christian Memorial Medical Center in Rochester Hills. Arrangements by Roth-Muir Funeral Home in Romeo.
