George Reinbold, Jr., 74 of Imlay City passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

George was born April 4, 1936 in Hadad, Romania, the son of George and Anna Reinbold. He immigrated to Imlay City from Austria with his family in 1951.

He attended St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Imlay City. He married Barbara Ann Hobbins on June 21, 1969. She passed away on Jan. 2, 1997.

George served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961and was employed as a truck mechanic in Flint for many years. He was an active member of the Imlay City community, belonging to the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge of Attica, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed going for coffee in the morning with the guys, playing cards at the Senior Center, and going to the Eagles to socialize with his many friends. He was a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his brother, John (Susan) Reinbold of Lapeer; brother-in-law, David (Alice) Hobbins of Lapeer; many nieces and nephews, and friend Natalie Friedenstab.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, his parents, George and Anna, and his brothers Andreas and Michael.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Imlay City. Pastor Alan Casillas pastor of St. Paulís Lutheran Church will officiate. Internment will follow at the Imlay Township Cemetery.

A Mason service and Veterans salute was held Tuesday evening at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City.
