Paul Hagemeister, 98, of Dryden, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at home.

Paul Gerald Hagemeister was born December 12, 1911 in Dryden. He was the son of Volney and Mary Hagemeister. He grew up in Dryden and spent most all of his life in that community.

He served his country in the U. S. Army during WWll. He received a World War ll Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and Army of Occupation Medal.

Paul was a self-employed carpenter. He built barns in the Dryden area and worked for Frank and Bennie Havens.

He is survived by his nieces, Sharon (Ingemar) Mathiasson of Alaska, Norma Peck of Wisconsin, and Cherie Kalbfleisch of Dryden; nephews, Gerald (Geraldine) Hagemeister of Dryden and Ron (Barbara) Hagemeister of Missouri.

Paul is preceded by his parents, Volney and Mary; nephew, Roland Kalbfleisch; and nieces Patricia Hagemeister and Colleen Dale.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Dryden Wesleyan Church. Pastor Nathan Bills, pastor of Dryden Wesleyan Church, officiated. Burial followed at Dryden Center Cemetery.
