Myra Dean, 88, of Imlay City passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at Heatherton Place in Imlay City.

Myra Lucile Kehn was born on August 10, 1921 in Capac. She was the daughter of Harvey and Lucile Kehn. She grew up in Imlay City and was a graduate of Imlay City High School Class of 1939.

She earned bachelors degree from the Detroit Conservatory of Music.

Myra married Jule Dean on August 17, 1963 in Imlay City.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lapeer and a member of the relief society for the Latter Day Saints church. She assisted her husband Jule at Dean’s Drug Store. Myra worked at Chrysler Missile Plant in Sterling Heights, Victor Graft Accounting in Imlay City and at Goldwater’s department store in Phoenix, AZ.

She is survived by her son, Andrew Dean of Imlay City and Sevierville, TN; daughters, Deanna O’Sullivan of Houston, TX and Susan (Scott) Blalock Reath of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Eric Kivlen, Jennifer Martin, Sarah Sterling, April Dorman, Alexander Reath and Nicholas Reath; great-grandchildren, Camilla Kivlen, Justin Martin and Madison Dorman; brother, Harvey Kehn.

Myra is preceded in death by her husband Jule Dean; daughter, Julia Faye Dean; sister, Barbara Kehn and her parents Harvey and Lucille Kehn.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lapeer. Bishop Paul Dudley will officiate.

Visiting will be 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lapeer.
