Joseph Liniewski, 74, of Dryden passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 at home.

Joseph Walter Liniewski was born on November 1, 1935 in Hamtramck, Michigan. He was the son of August and Mary Liniewski. Joe was a graduate of Hamtramck High School. He married Ruth Rose on May 5, 1962 in Hamtramck. Ruth precedes him in death. Joe served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a journeyman tool & die maker at GM Power Train Plant in Warren. Joe was a member of the Polish National Alliance and of PETA.

He is survived by his daughters: Faith (Anthony) Gill of Imlay City, Linda

(Bernard) Lewandowski of Algonac and Carol Falls of Carsonville. Also four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and best friend Delores Bongiorno.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Liniewski, five brothers, one sister, grandchild, Jacqueline Lewandowski, and son-in-law Edward Falls.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City. Deacon Thomas Yezak will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dryden.

Friends may call Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City where the family will be available for visiting from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family or Seven Ponds Nature Center.
