Marvin M. Haselhuhn, age 77 of Imlay City died October 14, 2009 in Marlette.
He was born June 18, 1932 in Rogers City, Michigan to Herb and Kathleen (Marshall) Haselhuhn.
Marvin joined the Coast Guard and then transferred into the Merchant Marines.
He married Peggy (Anderson) Pittman on September 23, 1977.
He was an auctioneer and owned and operated Marv's Auction Service for many years. He also was a pond digger and worked for DNA Construction in Flint. In his younger days he helped with the building of the Mackinaw Bridge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 32 years, Peggy; five children, Peggy “Sue” (Mike) Ross, Pam (Jack) Newkirk, Tom (Krista) Pittman, Linda (Don) Elwart and Vicki (John) Moenaert; a sister, Beverly Merchant; two brothers, Arnie Haselhuhn and Tim Haselhuhn; and a step-mother, Hazel Haselhuhn. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a sister Arleen, brothers Milt, Don, Les and Leroy and a stepson Timothy Pittman.
A memorial service will be held at the Dryden Wesleyan Church on November 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brad Stanfest officiating.
Cremation arrangements were by Carman Funeral Home in Brown City.
