David C. Duffano, 58, of Lapeer, recently of Imlay City, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at home.

David was born August 24, 1951, in Mount Clemens, the fourth child of Irvin and Nedrah Duffano.

He was a 1969 graduate of Armada High School.

He married Tari Dowling on October 28, 1983 after his first marriage didn’t work out. He was a devoted husband and father. His first marriage produced 4 children and his second brought him 3 more daughters. He was a very hard worker who enjoyed teaching his children (girls included) how to do mechanics. He also enjoyed family reunions where he could visit with all of his kids and grandchildren. Another major interest was scooting along the racetrack with his buddies from the “RatPack”.

He worked as a tool and die setter for TRW for 19 years, security guard for Argenbright Security for 5 years, and lift operator for Willis Manufacturing for 4 years until he became disabled.

He was preceded in death by father, Irvin Duffano; mother, Nedrah Duffano; and brother, John Duffano.

He is survived by wife, Tari Duffano of Lapeer; sisters, Nedra (Bert) Beal of Armada, Janette (John) Richter of Marlette and Marcia (Jack) Ventimiglia of Armada; brother, Marc Duffano of Laguna Beach, CA; sister-in-law, Darlene Duffano of Biloxi, MS; children and grandchildren, Sandra McBrayer and Alex of Lapeer, Stan (Danielle) Duffano with Brendyn, Jesse, and Paige of Imlay City, David L. (Buffy) Duffano with Carl and Nathen, Eric (Nicole) Duffano with Ariel, Allen, Selena, Jason, and Madeline of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughters Amanda, Onaika, and Myra Duffano of Lapeer; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Deafness Research Foundation or the Arthritis Foundation.

There will be a Memorial lunch held on Saturday, October 3 at 11 a.m. at the West Goodland United Methodist Church of Imlay City on the corner of M-53 and Armstrong Roads. Arrangements entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors-Capstick Chapel, Lapeer, MI.
