Age: 73
Elden Clark, 73, of Lynn Township, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 15, 2009, at home.

He was born April 15, 1936, in Imlay Township, the son of the late Forbes and Ethel (Hill) Clark.

His marriage to Sharon Jerlecki was December 20, 1990 in Port Huron.

Elden was a test driver at the Ford Proving Grounds for 18 years until his retirement in 1996.

He was a member of Capac First United Methodist Church, Masonic Forest Lodge #126 as well as past master and former Mason of the year, honorary member of the Brown City and Attica Lodges, and a member of Shriner’s International.

He enjoyed tractors, classic cars, golfing and loved being on his farm.

Surviving in addition to his wife Sharon of 19 years are three sons and a daughter-in-law, Kent and Linda of Clifford, and Kurt Clark and Kristin Clark both of Yale; step-daughters, Shelly (Rick) Hilliker and Stephanie (Joe) Izworski, both of Yale; stepson, John Jr. (Leeann) Lindsay of Brown City; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Lincoln Clark of Riley and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Kelly Clark; daughter, Kathy Clark; and brother, Leland Clark.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today (Wed., Aug. 19) with 10 a.m. visiting at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Rev. Lisa Clark, associate pastor of Capac United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Capac Cemetery, Capac.

Memorials are suggested to “Wishes of the Family.”
