David Grosjean, 28, of Allenton, previously of Capac, passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 at University Hospitals in Ann Arbor after a very brave fight against Hodgkin’s Lymphoma since 2002.
David Robert Grosjean was born September 19, 1980 in Rochester. He was the son of David and Debra Grosjean. He grew up in Capac and graduated from Capac High School in 1999.
David was a member of the Whittemore Raceway Association, the Auto City Raceway in Flint, and the Owosso Speedway in Owosso. He worked as a mechanic and at Hungry Howie’s in Imlay City. He was very enthusiastic about building and racing his Monte Carlo stockcar.
David is survived by his parents, David and Debra Grosjean of Imlay City; fiancee Lisa Aguinaga of Allenton and their sons, Chase Alexander Grosjean of Allenton and Caleb Gregory Grosjean of Allenton; grandparents, Leonard and Donna Suffield of Sarnia, Ontario and Jeannine and Leonard George Grosjean of Carsonville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 15 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City. Family will be available for visiting from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before services.
