Eunice Eileen Stickel of Armada, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, at the age of 82 years.

Eunice was born September 18, 1926 in Capac, a daughter of Ross and Pearl (nee Blake) Nettnay. She was a 1944 Capac High School graduate.

On November 18, 1944, Eunice married Frank Stickel at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Richmond. She and her husband were longtime dairy and cash crop farmers.

Eunice was a former member of the Farm Bureau. She is a member of St. Mary’s Mystical Rose Catholic Church and the PIME Father's Guild. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, mowing her lawn, cooking, playing cards and bingo.

Eunice is survived by her children, Gary (Darlene) Stickel of Loudon, Tennessee, Patricia (Richard) O’Reilly of Rochester Hills, Thomas (Janis) Stickel of Harrison Township and Rick (Tina) Stickel of Armada; grandchildren, Michelle (Rick) Roberts, Lisa (Thomas) Ricondo, Steven Stickel, Michael (Alison) Holmes, Todd (Kelley) Holmes, Bethany (Kevin) Bozung, Kelly (Tony) DiCicco, Christopher Stickel and Ashley Stickel; great- grandchildren, Rachel, Nicholas, Cody, Emily, Remy, Tyler and Isabella; and brothers, Max Nettnay of Attica and Donald (Alice) Nettnay of Capac. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank on July 9, 1972; brother, Lloyd Nettnay; and sister, Carol Schmidt.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at St. Mary’s Mystical Rose Catholic Church, Armada with the Rev. Fr. Siaosi Patau celebrant. Burial followed in West Berlin Cemetery, Berlin Township.

Scripture Rosary was held at Tiffany-Young and Hauss Funeral Home, Armada Wednesday evening.
