Nedrah Duffano, 89, of Armada, recently of Imlay City, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at home.

Nedrah Nadine Baker was born on September 5, 1919 in Flat River, Missouri. She was the daughter of John and Bertha Baker.

Nedrah was a 1935 graduate of Denby High School in Detroit. She attended Detroit College of Business.

She married Irvin Lucas Duffano on June 5, 1937 in Detroit. During World War II she worked at the Mack Truck Plant. She was a homemaker most of her life. She spent 40 years in Armada and 10 years in Marlette.

Nedrah was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marlette, Almont American Legion Auxiliary, and OES (Order of the Eastern Star). She was a leader for the 4-H Club, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.

She is survived by her sons, David (Tari) Duffano of Imlay City and Marc Duffano of Laguna Beach, CA.; daughters, Nedra (Bert) Beal of Armada, Janette (John) Richter of Marlette and Marcy (Jack) Ventimiglia of Armada; daughter-in-law, Darlene Duffano of Biloxi, MS.; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Duffano; son, John Duffano; brother, Edgar Baker; and her parents, John and Bertha Baker.

Funeral arrangements were made by Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City.
