Adie Grigg, 82, of Imlay City passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 at home.

Adeline Louise Hoffmeister was born on March 12, 1927 in Sebewaing. She was the daughter of Otto and Alma Hoffmeister. She was a graduate of Sebewaing High School class of 1945.

She married Albertus Lee “Jeff’’ Grigg on February 4, 1946 in Sebewaing.

Adie was a cook for 21 years at Imlay City Community Schools, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Imlay City. She belonged to the Imlay City Eagles Auxiliary.

Adie is survived by her husband, Albertus “Jeff’’ Grigg of Imlay City; son, Jeffery (Kathleen) Grigg of Woolwich, Maine; daughters, Karen (Joe) Martinez of St. John and Janet Turrell of Imlay City; grandchildren, Mindy (Alfonso) Salais, Stacy Martinez, Jamey Martinez, Larry Lee (Carlene) Turrell, Tammy Turrell, Nicholas Grigg and Scott Grigg; great-grandchildren, Marco Salais, Alejandro Salais, Gabriela Salais, Lazaro Salais, Christina Martinez, Damian Martinez, Cody Lee Turrell, Channon Turrell, Natasha Thompson, Brad Thompson, Jared Thompson and Brody Thompson; great-great-grandchild, Jersee Haslett; and brother, Franklin (Joan) Hoffmeister of Sebewaing. She is preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Schwab and Lorna Osborne; and brothers, Ray Hoffmeister and Donald Hoffmeister.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Imlay City. Pastor Alan Casillas, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Imlay Township Cemetery.

Friends may call Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City, where the family will be available for visiting from 1-5 and 6-8 p.m. today (Wed., March 18). There will be visiting from 10-11 a.m. at the church on Thursday.
