Judith Hosler, 66, of Dryden passed away suddenly Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Hurley Hospital in Flint.

Judith Carol Sawgle was born on April 15, 1942 in Dryden. She was the daughter of Herbert and Emma Sawgle. Judy grew up in Dryden. She married Milton “Mick’’ Bernard Hosler on May 20, 1963 in Romeo.

Judy retired from Dryden Community Schools in 2004 as Plant Manager. She worked at the schools from 1978-2004. She was a member of the Board of Lapeer County Community Trust Fund for local scholarships and she was a board member of Growth & Opportunity in Lapeer.

Judy is survived by her husband, Mick Hosler of Dryden; children, Andrew (Connie) Williams of Lapeer, April (David) Copp of Dryden, Anthony (Amy) Campbell of Dryden, Autumn (Steve) Rives of Attica, and Angela (Tim) Hill of Dryden; stepchildren, Tony Hosler (Janene) of Milan, Sherrie (Darryl) Murray of Tipton, Brenda Hosler (Cheryl) of Tipton, and Diane (Terry) Strozier of Milan; sister, Susan (Jerry) Conn of Dryden; brothers, Herb (Sharon) Sawgle of Dryden, Richard (Diane) Sawgle of Lapeer, John Sawgle of Waterford, and Tom Sawgle of Dryden; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and very dear friends, Gail Reader and Lacey Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Emma Sawgle; stepfather, William DeGroat; and an infant son, Austin Allen.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 16 at Dryden Wesleyan Church. Pastor Patricia Hoppenworth of Dryden United Methodist Church officiated. Funeral arrangements were made by Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City.
