Kathleen Lee Juip, 68, of Imlay City, previously of Lum, passed away after a lengthy battle with leukemia Thursday, October 16, 2008 at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy.

Kathleen Joan Warner was born March 19, 1940 in Detroit. She was a daughter of Arthur and Anna Warner. She grew up in Detroit and graduated from Denby High School in the class of 1958. Due to her illness, she missed her 50th class reunion this past weekend.

She was married to Ronald A. Lee on May 19, 1962 in Warren. She and Ron lived in Lum since 1967. Ron died on July 5, 1986.

Kathleen worked as an accountant for Numerical Machine Co. in Rochester and has also been employed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield; for Ballards Business Services and for Thermal Power.

She was married to Ronald A. Juip on June 10, 1998 in Detroit and had lived seasonally between Imlay City and Florida. She had been very involved with Miss Michigan and Miss America Pageants as a seamstress for over 20 years. She had been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City and St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Dryden.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald Juip of Imlay City; a daughter, Renae (Michael) Ringler of Macomb Twp.; 3 sons, Ronald A. (Lisa) Lee of Rogers, Ark., Richard A. (Amy) Lee of Attica, and Russell A. (Emily) Lee of Lansing; a step-son, Michael (Lisa) Juip of Brown City; 2 step-daughters, Leanne (Chris) Droillard of Northville and Ronette (Doug) Brinker of Allenton; one brother, Richard (Fran) Warner of Fair Haven; 3 sisters, Shirley Pillarowski of China Twp., Rose Anne Novak of Sterling Heights and Annamae Christel of Warren; 17 grandchildren, Anthony Lee, Matthew Lee, Cameron Lee, Spencer Lee, Logan Lee, Tyler Ringler, Andrew Ringler, Brooke Ringler, Taylor Lee, Morgan Lee, Samantha Juip, Nicholas Juip, Joshua Juip, Grant Droillard, Allison Droillard, Owen Brinker and Sidni Brinker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald A. Lee in 1986; brothers, Marv Warner and Wm. Bing Warner; and a sister, Caroline Warner.

Funeral services took place Monday, October 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City. The Rev. Father Ronald DeHondt and Rev. Father Ezequiel Mondragon officiated. Burial followed in the Arcadia Township Cemetery in Lum.

Rosary service was held on Saturday and Sunday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City.
