Janet Pearl Jamison, 61, of Brown City and longtime Capac resident, died Tuesday morning September 23, 2008 at Marlette Extended Care, after a courageous battle against cancer.
She was born June 3, 1947 in Almont the daughter of Willard and Pearl (Sass) Klug.
Her marriage to Robert Jamison was June 12, 1965 in Capac.
Janet was an active lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Capac, and Capac American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears and spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband Robert of 43 years are a son, Timothy and daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Dennis Gleasure all of Brown City; two grandchildren, Tyler and Faith; mother, Pearl Klug of Capac; two brothers and a sister-in-law, David and Joan Klug of New Haven and Don Whittkoph (Connie Proulx) of Clifford; and several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Willard.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 26 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Capac. Rev. Joan Christoffers, pastor, officiated. Burial took place in Capac Cemetery, Capac. Arrangements were made by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac.
