William S. Hoffman, 70, of Almont passed away July 15, 2008. He was born in Romania on August 12, 1937 the son of Herbert and Marion (Rider) Hoffman.
Bill retired from General Motors in Pontiac in 2000, he had also worked at Boring Builders, Almont Welding and Michigan Screw.
Bill was very patriotic as he had a great love for his country. He also loved cooking, dancing, fishing, and most of all he loved being surrounded by friends. He was very kind hearted and always willing to help others including strangers. He was a member of the Almont Legion, Imlay City Eagles, the Moose Lodge in Michigan and Florida and the Almont-Dryden Masons.
He is survived by his companion Monica Bingham (and family); sisters, Corlene Ashley of Bloomfield Hills and Rosemary (Rod) Skow of Adrian; one brother, Kristian Hoffman; niece Nancy (Gene) Eavy of Ann Arbor; nephew Michael Skow of Jackson and many relatives in Philadelphia.
Services have taken place and burial was made in Ferguson Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Almont.
