Dorothy Lucille Gannett, 78, of Orlando, Florida passed away June 27, 2008 at Dr. Phillips Hospital in Orlando.
Dorothy was born on October 15, 1929 in Grosse Pointe Park. She was the daughter of Selwyn and Maggie McKillen. She graduated from Brown City High School.
She married Charles Otto Gannett on January 24, 1948 at the First Baptist Church in Imlay City.
Dorothy worked for many years as a waitress in Imlay City. At one point in her life, she and her husband owned a restaurant in downtown Imlay City. After moving to Florida, she worked for many years for her son and daughter-in-law at their janitorial service in Orlando.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Charles of Orlando; daughter, Patty (Richard) Blonde of Port Huron; son, Mike (Anita) Gannett of Orlando; her sister, Marguerite (Pentti) Korpi of Rochester; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 1, at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel and burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida.
