Jim C. Perry, 73, of Davison, formerly of Imlay City passed away after a short illness Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Genesys Health Park in Grand Blanc.

James Carl Perry was born on March 1, 1934 in Clovis, New Mexico. He was the son of Harold and Doris (Miller) Perry. His father was in the military and he spent his growing up years in all different parts of the United States.

Jim was a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He married Naomi Smith on September 13, 1958 in Remus.

Jim served in the U.S. Army in the late 1950s. He and Naomi were members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Allenton and are now members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison.

Jim had been a member of the Almont Lions Club and a life member of the Imlay City Lions Club, and was a Past District Governor of Michigan Lions District 11 D-2.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi Perry of Davison; sons, Charles (Tomasita) Perry of Lapeer and Robert (Rhonda) Perry of Plymouth; 4 grandchildren, Alex Perry, Grace Perry, Christina Marie Diaz and Mario (Carla) Diaz; and 4 great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Taran, David and Quinn. He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathleen; his parents, Harold and Doris Perry; and a brother, John Perry.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 8, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison. Father Andrew A. Czajkowski officiated. Interment will be held Saturday, February 16 at the St. Michael Cemetery in Remus.

A rosary service was held Thursday evening at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City.
