Donna Chandler, 80, of Imlay City, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008 at her home.

Donna Jean Clark was born on September 10, 1927 in Berville. She was the daughter of Gordon and Bertha (Wyman) Clark. In 1935, Donna moved to Imlay City when her mother married Milton Ward. She graduated from Imlay City High School class of 1945.

Donna spent all of her married life in Yale. She married Marvin E. Chandler on August 16, 1947 in Imlay City.

Donna was a secretary at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. at the end of World War II. She co-owned with her husband Marvin, Chandlerís Meat Market in Yale for 29 years retiring in 1979. She retired from Hudsonís Department Store in 1990 from the 12 Oaks Mall in Novi. She was a member of Imlay City Friendship Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Stars.

Donna is survived by her son, Dale (Claudia) Chandler of Livonia; 3 grandchildren, Meghan, Brian and Jamie; step-sisters, Rosaleen Sterner of Dryden and Wilma Belland of Bradenton, FL.; sisters-in-law, Jane Ward of Crystal River, MI and Lovinia Clark of Attica; step-brother, Tom (Margaret) Ward of Hubbard Lake; brother-in-law, Melvin Eckel of Imlay City; and several very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin in 1984; son, Douglas in 1996; an infant daughter, Maryann in 1956; parents, Bertha and Milton Ward; sisters, Maxine Ecekl and Marguerite Maraj; brothers, Merle Ward and Keith Clark; and brothers-in-law, Bob Belland and Carl Sterner.

Friends may call Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City where the family will be available for visiting from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday, January 26. There will be a 3 p.m. Rosary Saturday afternoon. Cremation has already taken place.
