Age: 82
George W. Foe, Jr. 82, of Attica passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in Roscommon after a lengthy illness.

He was born June 1, 1925 in Royal Oak, the son of George W. Foe Sr. and Leah Kleckner.

He was united in marriage to Mary Bentz of Allenton on July 11, 1953.

Mr. Foe enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, music, mostly Big Band and jazz. Also playing Bingo with his special friend, Maureen Mobley.

He retired from Ford Motor Co. after 30 years of service. He served his country in the Army during World War II, during which time he received a Purple Heart as he was wounded shortly after arriving in France.

He is survived by a brother, Eugene of Richland; 3 sisters, Doris (Jim) Smith of Grand Blanc, Louise (Basil) Hughes of Lapeer, and Marion (Jack) Clark of Lapeer; and sister-in-law, Marjorie (Wilbur) Foe of Lapeer. Also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 1996; parents, George and Leah Foe; brother, Wilbur Foe; nephew Neil Hughes; and brothers-in-law, Jack Clark, Basil Hughes and Jim Smith.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Home Health Care and Hospice of West Branch.

Memorial service will be held at the West Berlin Cemetery of Allenton on Saturday, November 3, at noon. VFW of Imlay City will preside over the ceremony.
