Lee Lively, 57, of Imlay City, passed away Monday, October 1, 2007 at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn.

Lee Joy Lively was born on February 23, 1950 in Paragould, Arkansas. He was the son of Charles and Martha (Clark) Lively. He had been a resident of Imlay City for 8 years. He is previously from Detroit.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Lee earned a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and was an expert with a rifle.

Lee married Leandra Elaine Ruff on September 27, 1971 in Taylor.

He was a Past President of PTA at his children’s elementary school in Detroit.

Lee was a very talented mechanical builder. He built robotics for Chrysler at Utica Enterprises for 12 years.

He is survived by his wife, Leandra Lively of Imlay City; sons, Kenneth (Hsiao-Lin) Lively of CA and Zackery Lively of TX; daughters, Tonya (Steven) Lively of AL, Christina Lively of Lapeer, Shelly Bryant of NC, Valarie Wruble of Lapeer, Bonnie (Mohamad) of Dearborn, Angela Lively of Lapeer, and Krystal Lively of Davison; 14 grandchildren; 4 brothers, Billy Smith of Missouri, Jimmy Smith of Missouri, Danny (Sandra) Smith of AK, and Bink (Nellie) Butler of AK; and 3 sisters, Betty (Gary) Jones of AK, Ellen Fair of Mississippi and Rose (Pat) Stephens of AK.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 5 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.

Friends may call Muir Brothers Funeral Home where the family will be available for visiting from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 5. Memorials suggested to the Lively family.
