Robert “Bob’’ Schlicht, 63, of Imlay City, passed away suddenly Monday, September 24, 2007 at a friend’s home in the Unionville area.

Robert Wayne Schlicht was born January 9, 1944 in Fairgrove, Tuscola County. He was a son of Darrell and Lorraine (James) Schlicht. He lived most all of his life in the Imlay City area. He was an Imlay City High School graduate of the Class of 1962.

Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Charter member of the Imlay City Eagles. He had been employed by Imlay City Lube Center. He had worked at the Imlay City Lube Center for 12 years and was planning to retire. He was a talented mechanic, handyman, and appliance repairman.

Surviving are his girlfriend, Theresa Vanlerberghe of Armada; two daughters, Dawn (Eric) Duncan of Columbiaville and Theresa (Ron) Yeager of Lapeer; son, Kenneth Schlicht of Lapeer; five grandchildren, Tabbithia, Dakota, Steven, R.J. and Dustin; his mother, Lorraine Krawczyk of Imlay City; sisters, Sandra (Richard Upleger) Younge of Attica and JoAnna (Steven) Bonesteel of North Branch; and brothers, Barry (Linda) Schlicht of Kodiak, TN., Jack (Melanie) Schlicht of Sandusky, Mack (Bernice) Schlicht of Escanaba, and William (Linda) Krawczyk of North Port, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City. An Imlay City Eagles Memorial Service was held Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
