Harold “Rush’’ Blalock, 83, of Imlay City, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac.
Raymond Harold Blalock was born on January 22, 1924 in Detroit. He was the son of Luther and Katherine (Parks) Blalock. He grew up in Detroit until age 11. He then attended Blacks Corner Country School and Imlay City High School.
As a young man Rush had lived in St. Augustine, Florida. He had been a truck driver and was owner of Green Thumb Peat and Blueberry Farms near Sandusky.
Rush is survived by a brother, Homer Blalock of Utah; niece, Susan Blalock of Wayzata, MN.; cousin, Cindy (Eric) Bolokofsky of Rochester; and friend and neighbors Bob and Gayle Bennett of Imlay City. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Katherine Blalock; brother, Erman Blalock; and sister, June Boor.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 17 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City. Pastor Dan Wilson of Dryden Wesleyan Church officiated. Interment at Imlay Township Cemetery.
