Arnold “Arnie’’ Peters, 83, of Imlay City passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Alterra Clare Bridge in Grand Blanc.

Arnold Neil Peters was born on March 22, 1924 in Dryden the son of Albert and Ella (Rohr) Peters. He grew up in Dryden and attended Dryden schools. He spent most of his life in Imlay City.

He married Eleanor D’Arcy on June 1, 1999 in Indian River, Michigan. Arnie was married to his first wife, Normalee Maybee on April 19, 1947 in Pontiac. She passed away in 1998.

Arnie was a dairy farmer and bee keeper with 700 bee hives. He was a member of Imlay City First Baptist Church, National Farm Organization and Michigan State Bee Keepers.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Peters of Imlay City; daughter, Shawn (Joseph) Peters-Miller of Madison Heights; step-daughters, Cynthia Errett of WI and Lucy Schonfeld of WI; 1 granddaughter, Jade Downey of Florida; 4 step-grandchildren, Darcy Schonfeld, Sally Goodman, Paul Schonfeld and Jessica Errett; mother-in-law, Marie Maybee of Lapeer; and 2 brothers, George Peters of Clinton Twp. and Jack (Carol) Peters of AZ. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Normalee; brother, Gerold Peters; and sisters, Clara Freel and Anna May Peters.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 26 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City. Reverend Gary Freel of Imlay City First Baptist Church officiated. Interment followed at Attica Township Cemetery.
