Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle seem fond of quoting their constituents' deepest concerns for their own political ends.
For example, to quote from Congresswoman Candice Miller's newsletter sent May 25:
"In my 30 years of public service I have never seen people so agitated, so intensely frustrated with the federal government. [...] The number one thing that I hear over and over is, 'Why isn't Washington listening?'"
If that Palin-esque or Biden-ese comment weren't so serious, it'd be worthy of a Saturday Night Live skit. We're talking about all of them and they don't seem to get it!
Where's that two-by-four?—it must be around here someplace.
