I'm writing to support Dale Stuever for the Capac Community Schools Board of Education. I have known Dale for decades. I worked with him when I was a teacher, then as principal, then I served with him as a colleague on the school board.
I have great respect for Dale's ability to make solid, well thought-out decisions that create the best possible educational opportunities for our students with the funds available. Dale has always fought to maintain a balanced budget, yet preserve an excellent education that will serve our children well into their futures.
In today's economic climate, it's especially important to have school board members with the experience to make the most of tight funding. Dale requires no learning curve; he has already demonstrated that he can and will do this. As a successful self-employed farmer, Dale knows how to make good business decisions. As a father and Capac High School alumnus, he has a passion for the school system. Most important, I believe Dale feels a personal commitment to the educational success of each Capac student.
Dale has shown a high level of commitment to Capac students in his 18 years of service on the school board, and I'm eager to see him use that expertise to serve the next term.
Please remember to vote in the school board election on Tuesday, May 4.
