Volunteers prep for play

To the Editor:

Imlay City Boys Baseball received some helping hands (and rakes) last weekend during the league's spring clean-up day.

Volunteers braved the cold weather and snow flurries to help prepare the baseball fields for the upcoming season. Coaches, parents, players and associates from Lapeer Kohl's donated their time and effort to remove leaves and other debris from the ball fields.

Community involvement is what makes the league successful and we would like to thank all of the volunteers that participated in our field clean up day.

The regular season begins in early May and will include play with surrounding communities.

For more information about the league, please visit www.icboysbaseball.com.
