Suggestive dancing has no place at school

To the Editor:

This is in response to the letter written by Capac High School student Dakota Perry under the headline 'Teen rights taken away' in the March 24 issue about suggestive dancing at school functions.

I say God bless the school officials for stopping those dances.

I watched Dr. Phil and what the kids were doing at school dances was disrespectful for the school and themselves. The kids are having sexual activity. The chaperones said when the kids go around in a circle and the phone cameras come out you know they are having sex. A girl that had done this explained it. I wondered why they just didn't cancel these dances. The chaperones said a couple was having sex in a dark corner and when she told them to break it up, the boy got mad and started after her.

If the kids wish to have sex, do it elsewhere. School is a public place. I think some parents should be lurking in the shadows.

Also, the movie 'Dirty Dancing' was an artistic performance, not an orgy.
