Teen rights taken away

To the Editor:

In response to an article I read about teenagers "grinding" during school dances, I think it is ridiculous that schools are making teens sign a contract saying they cannot dance in a certain way.

This whole thing is taking away their rights. They can dance any way they want. Dance is a form of expression. Making them sign a contract is taking their right of expression away. It's not like they are having sex on the dance floor. They are just up close with each other. "Dirty" dancing has been around since the beginning of dance. I understand that we need chaperones, but if it is offensive to you then just look away.

Sincerely,
