Camp Skyline seeks summer help

To the Editor:

Recent national news stories predict a scarcity of summer jobs for college-age students this year, but one south Lapeer County employer is looking for "a few good men or women" to fill interesting jobs that can make a difference.

Skyline Camp and Retreat Center, three miles southwest of Almont, is hiring counselors, lifeguards, team-builder/leadership program coordinator, photographer and maintenance staff for its upcoming residential summer camp sessions. Staff is required to live on site during the sessions from Sunday morning to Friday afternoon.

Skyline offers seven weeks of summer camp of which three are devoted to developmentally disabled adults and teens, one week for at-risk youth and then three age-specific (elementary, mid-high and senior high) weeks.

Information about these positions is available on Skyline's Web site at www.campskyline.org, or call Jeanine at 810-706-2581.

Skyline is hosting a job fair at the Mill and Brewhouse Café in Almont on from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 25. We will also be hosting a job fair Sunday, March 28 at Caribou Coffee on 26 Mile Rd. in Washington Twp. All those interested are welcome to stop in and find out about our summer job opportunities.

Sincerely,

—Christine Gannon
