Kudos to Alex Lengemann

To the Editor:

Alex Lengemann of RealtyVolution deserves a round of applause for column in the March 10th issue.

In his response to the person who was patting their own back about how they defrauded the mortgage lender Alex could have taken the easy road and simply answered the question but he called the deal what it was...outright fraud.

Has our society totally lost all conscience or sense of right and wrong? Is personal gain so important that it doesn't matter who it impacts? Or are we lashing out at "big business" without realizing, as Alex stated, that the damage reaches out into the lives of many, many people in the form of lost jobs, increased costs, and destroyed property values.

It's one thing when a home repossession results from events totally out of someone's control, someone who has done everything possible to avoid losing their home, but to intentionally go that route to live in a "nicer" house is unbelievable. A pat on the back to Alex for his response.
