Thank you for including the information back in October regarding an ORV safety class we held. We had several families attend the class after reading it in your paper.
Your readers also may be interested in upcoming snowmobile safety classes being held in Lapeer County.
The class is for those children ages 8 to 16 who ride snowmobiles. In order to ride across roads in Michigan, this class must be attended and certificate received. Only one 4 hour class must be attended.
We will cover safety issues and Michigan laws that pertain to snowmobiles.
The class is book-work only, there is no riding involved, nor need to bring snowmobiles. The cost is $25 per student with a family discount available. Pre-registration is required.
One class is slated for Thurs., Jan. 7, at the Lapeer Masonic Temple, 1685 N. Saginaw Road, Lapeer, from 5-9 p.m. The second is planned for Sat., Jan. 16 at the
North Branch Township Library, 3714 North Branch Rd., North Branch from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Parents are encouraged to attend, free of charge.
Please contact me with any questions or to register.
