Owner waits for apology

To the Editor:

This is to the inconsiderate driver who destroyed my property and caused one of my horses to be injured. Because you were probably going too fast on Atwell Road, you could not make the slight curve, lost control and went down the embankment and crashed into a bunch of the trees on MY property. In doing so you caused my horses to panic and they tried to jump over a 5' fence to get away from your lack of consideration.

Do you know what we woke up to and found that morning? Do you even care? Of course not! A decent person would have knocked on the door and let us know what had happened. As it was, we had to repair the fence in an entire pasture, which took all day. I missed going to a family outing because of your inconsiderate decision to drive recklessly. I know you could care less, but we have some of your car parts and a police report is now on file.

Now I have one horse who is injured because of your lack of common sense and both horses have been traumatized and will not go near that part of their pasture. If you are the fellow I saw in the white car that stopped to go take a look at what you did, or you know who did it, I have your plate number and am willing to let the police finish handling this which will not be good for you. Do yourself a favor and at least come apologize and see what your lack of consideration did to my property and horses.
