Proud to be a citizen of this maturing, courageous nation
To the Editor:
Do you know of any persons who have not done something in their lives that they are not proud of or wish they had not done? And yet—can't these same people be good and strong examples whom we admire and look up to?
I believe the same holds true of our Great Country. It is the ultimate and ongoing maturity that truly defines who we are.
I am proud to be an American. As a citizen, I find pride in what my country has done to help others over the years, and the blood shed in those tasks.
Have we made mistakes? Of course! But we are not a mistake. We try to live by the "Creator's natural law." The world is a better place since we became a nation.
God bless America!
