Help residents keep warm with coat drive

To the Editor:

Last year alone, 700 area residents may have remained coatless were it not for the efforts of Molly Maid and our community. Given the economy, the need this year is expected to be even higher.

In an effort to combat this issue, Molly Maid of Metamora will again be collecting clean, gently used coats to be distributed free of charge within our community through St. Paul's Lutheran Church. While all coats are greatly appreciated, there is a particular need for children's sizes 3-18 and adult XXL sizes. Snow pants, boots, gloves and hats are also appreciated.

To make arrangements to have coats picked up through October 16, please call Molly Maid at 810-678-2078.
