I am a married mother of three who loves the Constitution and all the people who had the courage to create it.
I think many Americans ("We the People") are not happy with the direction that Obama is taking this country, but just aren't sure how to express that. I am one of these Americans.
When I found out about the Tea Parties, I wanted to go and show my support with other people who felt the same as I did. Isn't it amazing to see how many people truly love the way this country was founded and are willing to stand up and show it?
I am not part of an angry mob, I am just an individual standing up for my freedom that was paid for by our founding fathers' blood ("Land where my fathers died"). I can't afford more taxes, our standard of living has declined, I fear for my basic rights, and I am not sure how to explain The American Dream to my children anymore.
Please take another close look at the average Americans Catherine Minolli misrepresented in her column 'Grass Roots Run Wild and Deep These Days,' (Sept. 9) and consider writing a story from their individual point of view. We are not part of "a national network of people," we are just "We The People!!!"
