I was shocked that someone would steal from a garage sale as reflected in Maria Brown's column in the Sept. 2 issue. Apparently this person was in a darker place than the host proprietor of the sale. I can confirm to anyone interested that if you steal, you will get stolen from. You will probably lose even more in the end to teach you a lesson and everyone around you. Hopefully something wonderful will come to Linda Greenman and her family (the victim who called Maria to help warn others) in their future for their troubles.
Also, I am hoping that all people of every level will be reading this newspaper. I know that through knowledge comes integrity and a hope for our future.
I used to get angry at people that parked illegally in handicap parking spaces. Now I say a prayer for that unfortunate soul who will probably need a handicap space to park in their future and will be in an impossible situation when they can't find a spot. Think before you illegally park in a handicap spot, please.
What goes around comes around, and if more people believed this, we would be living in a better world. I don't understand why society doesn't believe in facing their own consequences and stop make excuses for their behavior.
