I wish to thank all of the Capac Community Historical Society's friends, neighbors and members who came to our aid when the Capac sewers backed up and flooded the Kempf Historical Centre in June.
Special thank goes to the Mussey Twp. Fire Department, Fred Theel and Larry Traub who carried out valuable artifacts and pushed water out of the door; Paul and Darlene Downey, Dewayne Baker and his son, Nan Marzka and family, John C. Grzyb and Ron Kriesch who vacuumed up the water on the carpet; Jeff Kegler and John C. Grzyb for cutting up the carpet and removing it; and to Joe and Jim Vargo of Capac Construction for disposing of the carpet and their professional advice.
It's a long list but when disaster strikes it sometimes takes a long list of friends to help.
John R. Grzyb Jr., Capac Historical Society president
