Itís a time for thoughtfulness and helping others

To the Editor:

This is in response to Deanna Wood's letter regarding Barack Obama and his proposed economic recovery plans which ran in the Jan. 7 issue of the Tri-City Times. Ms. Wood says she does not want to pay for any of the new president's plans since she did not vote for him.

I must ask her, who voted for the guy that got us in this mess?? Gonna fess up?? And I bet you voted both times. Twice. Can you imagine? Twice for the same nut. You bet you're going to help pay -for anything and everything. Best thing to do is just admit that you and thousands of others made a horrible mistake when you closed yourself in that voting booth.

So let's all chip in, let's all help each other, let's be the people that we SHOULD be and when we get through giving in this respect, let's turn right around and give to the people that are wondering how they will tonight feed their kids and keep them warm. It's possible that before this mess is cleaned up, you will be expected or at least asked to take a person or persons into your home for a short time.

We are headed for a time to prove to ourselves that we are the people we were born to be. Thoughtful and helpful with a smile on our face.
