Molly Maid collects for local women’s shelter

To the Editor:

During the month of October, which is National Domestic Violence Month, Molly Maid of Metamora and the Ms. Molly Foundation sponsored the 12th annual Making a Difference Drive. Collecting goods and monies from caring customers and community members as well as donating a portion of every Molly Maid service fee to a local shelter, Molly Maid of Metamora donated nearly $2,200 to the drive.

We are so grateful to the customers and community members who helped us raise these funds and collect needed goods for our local shelter. We know that domestic violence is a persistent problem that often goes unnoticed and we are thankful to our community for helping us get the message out that these victims of abuse need our help.

Since the establishment of the Ms. Molly Foundation in 1996, more than a half-million dollars have been donated to shelters. We are proud to do our part to raise awareness of this important issue.
