Newly-elected 82nd District House Rep. offers appreciation

Dear Editor,

To the citizens of Lapeer County, on Tuesday, November 4, the campaign to elect Kevin Daley as your next State Representative achieved victory. To our many devoted volunteers and supporters, including my family, I would like to say "thank you." Your help during the last 21 months has been immeasurable.

Perhaps you walked in a parade, helped with a fundraiser, baked a delicious dessert, handed out literature, worked the polls, wrote a letter to the editor, made phone calls, placed a sign in your yard, hosted me at your home or function, or sent along a check. This was a grassroots campaign in the truest sense, relying on the day-to-day energy, time, and resources of old friends and new supporters alike.

My wife Debbie and I are deeply moved by the excitement and enthusiasm you all shared with us. And we are humbled by the generosity you expressed, especially in these challenging times.

As has been the case in my 24 years in local government, I will continue to keep an open door and be responsive to you and your concerns. Whether you are a constituent seeking support for your family, or a resident advocating for a particular policy or issue, I welcome you. Please contact me at any time. Let's continue the momentum of involvement and dialogue that we have begun together. The solutions that we seek in Lansing and beyond depend upon it.

Once again, thank you for your help, support, and the responsibility you have entrusted in me. I am committed to working hard and delivering for Lapeer County and the 82nd District.

Kevin Daley, State Representative Elect 82nd District, Arcadia Twp.
