Bike parade rides for hospice

Dear Editor,

On a cool, rainy August Saturday, the organization called Hog Town, Inc. held their 4th United Hospice Service Motorcycle Run. So much time, energy, and attention went into this event. Flyers were posted and sent, the route picked, donors solicited, and all were asked to participate.

No one who saw the bike "parade" that day will forget the miles of motorcycles as they drove down the highways led by the Sanilac County Motorcycle Division. The end results were many memories and a grand total over $13,100.00!

So many individuals who represent Hog Town, Inc. helped with this endeavor-too many to try and mention for fear of leaving someone out. Just know each of you are appreciated not only by all our staff and volunteers but more importantly by the patients and their families in our hospice care-past, present, and in the future.

Hog Town, Inc. is a community centered organization which continues to dedicate its mission to helping those in need. Be advised that every donated penny will go to assist in the care of United Hospice patients and their families. Also, the staff and volunteers that make up United Hospice would like to give grateful thanks to each vendor, business, and group that supported the motorcycle run.

Thanks again to all the members of Hog Town, Inc. As we go forth placing the patient and family needs first in all our care decisions, we know that this wonderful organization has our back.
