Sweet opening for new business

Dear Editor,

The Grand Opening of Chocolate Inked Sweet Shoppe (CISS) was overwhelming to say the least. We were so touched to have such a large group attend and share with us the ribbon cutting ceremony. We are very pleased and happy that we chose Metamora in which to open our business. There are so many people to thank, we apologize if we miss anyone.

Thank you to Phil and Donna Andreae for the opportunity and journey together, to the many that had a hand in the re-modeling of the building, especially Jim and John. It has taken many hours and hands to make CISS what it is today. Thank you to Neda Payne, Executive Director of the Lapeer Chamber of Commerce, John Clark, President of the Village of Metamora, and Wes Wickham, President of the Metamora Chamber of Commerce for their words spoken at the ribbon cutting and wonderful welcome. Thanks to Al and Carol Yunkes for the use of signage on Lapeer Rd., tables, chairs and benches as well as the beautiful flowers for the entrance to CISS and the arrangement for inside the store, Adam for picking up the tables, chairs and benches to the shoppe, it was appreciated, Charlie Warne for the awesome horsedrawn carriage rides, everyone loved them! Wes Wickham for the wonderful balloons from Emily's Nail Spa, Julia and Beth for helping with some goodies, Polly for helping in the kitchen, to our family and friends for driving near and far to share the day with us.

A huge thank you to our children, Kyle, Korey, and Kacy for being supportive and understanding as well as for their hard work and help with this journey, we love you and appreciate you. We would like to extend a special thank you to our friend, Kathy for all of her help. It is very appreciated and we would not have been ready had it not been for all the help you gave. To each that attended, thank you for your warm welcome to the community. We look forward to having a "sweet" time with you.
